Description
Moonflower is Euclid Labs’ software solution for robot random bin picking.
A bin picking process can be explained as follows: a robot (composed of six or more axis) has to pick from a box an object in a stable way to place it properly.)
Moonflower supports complete randomness of the bin, uses different sensors depending on the particular challenge, and comes with robot subprograms to handle the process. Each production has different needs, Euclid Labs has developed several versions of its 3D application to meet the best results of various tradeoffs between time cycle, accuracy, volume, costs, and flexibility.
Moonflower is focused on the performance and predictability of its solutions, as opposed to the latest year's trend in bin picking with the claim of „easy to use”.
It supports several vision systems, including Zivid One Plus & Zivid Two, Visio Nerf' Cirrus, Photoneo, Nerian, Intel Realsense, Ensenso, etc. Moonflower is a flexible and customizable solution that guarantees fast cycle times, an outstanding path planner, and a straightforward process that starts from a CAD file. Many plugins are available (i.e., the palletization plugin to design a palletizing schema graphically) to give the customer the most tailor-made options for their applications.
Euclid Labs also offers the gripper design service to pick every part in the best way. Some examples of applications are:
- Bin-Picking of parts of any size and material; parts size varies from hinges of glasses to truck hubs. Cams, crankshafts, boilers, oil connectors, billets, blades, gears, screws, pumps components, chassis parts are some examples of picked metal parts. While covers, O-rings, electrical connectors, and appliances components are picked plastic parts examples.
- Machine Tending; turning centers, milling machines, heating devices, printing, and marking tools have been loaded successfully.
- Assembly & Welding; with bin-picking, it is possible to make an assembly or welding line fully unmanned.
- Palletizing – Depalletizing; moving parts from a chaotic bin to an organized pallet for shipping or from a partially structured pallet to a singularized position are common applications.
