A single Flexibowl can handle entire families of parts, with part sizes between 1-250 mm and 1-250 g across the range, replacing a whole set of vibratory bowl feeders. This range of feeding systems can sort baulk parts regardless of their shape, fragility, material composition, weight and surface characteristics, ideal for manufacturers whose production involves frequent product changeovers and reduced volumes.

How do Flexibowl's automated feeding systems work?

Parts are separated through the combined actuation of servomotor and impulse generator.
These shaking movements allow parts to arrange and lie on feeder surface with the right orientation
A vision system locates them and sends coordinates to a robot for pick up.

FlexiBowl has a UR+ certified URCap with the latest generation Universal Robots. There are also plug-ins available for most industrial robots, and Flexibowl is soon to be fully compatible to work with Shibaura Machine SCARA robots, making it straightforward to integrate feeding systems into your facility. ­­
